About Verde Nexus
We are what development work needs and rarely gets: a practice that holds strategy, evidence, technology, and capability in the same room, accountable to the same outcome.
If innovation requires Invention × Impact × Profit simultaneously, you cannot produce it by handing work across separate disciplines and hoping the handoffs hold. Strategy without evidence doesn't know if the invention works. Evidence without capability doesn't change how the organisation decides. AI without either automates what was already broken.
VN's four capabilities are not service lines. They are the four things that have to happen together, in the same engagement, to move the equation from zero to innovation.
01
Strategy & Transformation
Designs the Invention against real constraints — not ideal conditions.
02
Decision Intelligence
Tests whether the Invention produces Impact — and tells the right people what the evidence says.
03
AI-Enabled Organisations
Multiplies Impact by fixing where information fails decisions — not by adding tools.
04
Leadership & Capability
Builds the Profit factor — viability and scale — by transferring capability the organisation keeps after we leave.
Each capability has a full problem-solution narrative. What we diagnose, why the failure mode is structural, and what we do differently.
Read the capabilities →Verde Nexus was built by practitioners, not theorists. Every engagement traces back to people who have sat in the room where the decision gets made — or failed to get made.
Founder
Yasir brings more than a decade of strategic finance leadership across Asia Pacific and North America — the kind of operational discipline that turns development commitments into investment-ready structures. He has led P&L turnarounds, secured a C$240M national contract for Serco Group, and directed financial governance across FTSE 250, Fortune 500, and NASDAQ-listed enterprises including Workday, Sodexo, and Compass Group. His work spans M&A due diligence, finance transformation, and commercial strategy — connecting corporate-grade financial rigor with the realities of emerging-market investment. At Verde Nexus, Yasir leads on financial architecture: investment readiness, deal structuring, and the commercial modelling that bridges DFI capital with private-sector execution.
Founder
Tashfiq has spent 16 years designing research that moves decisions, not just informs them. He won the 2014 OECD DAC Prize — the highest recognition in development effectiveness — for work on market systems that showed what actually changes when an intervention reaches its target. He led Katalyst, a CHF 32 million market systems programme, and has designed field-based evaluations for ILO, USAID, WorldFish, IRC, CARE, World Vision, and DFAT. His operating principle: research designed around what the researcher finds answerable is not research — it is noise.
Founder
Rashed has spent 13 years building and managing programmes where the gap between a good design and a changed system is everything. He managed a USD 22 million multi-country development portfolio across Bangladesh, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan — coordinating 150+ specialists across five countries. He built the BYEAH enterprise support network from the ground up, increasing earnings for 500 entrepreneurs by 75% within a year. He now leads Verde Nexus with a focus on green economy transition, AI-enabled organisations, and investment readiness for social enterprises.
Behind every engagement is a network of domain specialists — researchers, lawyers, economists, psychologists, environmentalists, and practitioners who have spent careers in their fields. They don't appear by name on this page. Their expertise does.
